As of June 9/05 the Elbow River, which flows into the Glenmore Reservoir, has filled the reservoir to capacity. The gates have been open for several days to outflow capacity. For the first time in the dam's history, the water is flowing over the top of the structure. The City of Calgary has no control over the outflow at this time. Flood warnings are in effect downstream of the dam and several communities are in jeopardy.
