The Bow "Reserve" Reach

Float this remote reach of the Bow River below the Carseland Weir. There is no public access downstream of the Trophy Stretch and therefore sees much less pressure. The trout seem to be more willing to eat your fly. A Jet Boat must be used on this reach to jet back up stream at the end of the day. For wilderness fly fishing, on less traveled water, this is an experience not to be over looked.

The Crowsnest River

"Must Be Nice" Drift Company also offers guide service on the Crowsnest River in southwest Alberta. This river is a dry fly and nymphing paradise. Fish in the upper reaches average 12-14 inches. Below Lundbreck Falls, the trout grow to a greater size. Searching the runs and pools with nymphs can be very productive in taking trout. The river averages 20-40 feet in width and is famous for the stone fly hatches in the early part of the season.

Stillwater Trout

Just west of Calgary on the Stoney Indian Reservation lies Hector Lake. This lake is legendary for the size and stamina of its lunker rainbow trout. Hector Lake winterkilled in 1996, but was restocked in the spring of 1997. The past two season have seen the return of these legendary lunker rainbows.

Cutthroat Trout Adventures

If you desire a different pace to your angling adventure, "Must Be Nice" Drift Company can arrange an outing to the high country of the Rocky Mountains to pursue wild native Westslope Cutthroat Trout.
