The flood of 2005 damaged all the river access points but none as much as Policemans Flats. This critical access was totally destroyed and remained so for the next three fishing seasons. The Alberta Gov't and more specifically Fish and Wildlife were incapable of securing an alternate launch site for the general public even though a private launch became available in 2005.

Work on a "new Policemans" was started in the fall of 2007. I spoke with an engineer involved in this project and was able to obtain a photo of this map.
